Jason joins Heatons following a career with Biffa spanning over 25 years. Jason’s roles at Biffa included Development Manager, National Head of Technical Sales (Hazardous Waste) and finally National Head of Technical (Landfill).
During his career, Jason has served on many regulatory committees for the bodies such as the Environmental Services Association, the Chartered Institute of Waste Managers and the Environment Agency and has been involved in the development of much of today’s modern regulation regarding waste permitting and waste classification and coding.
Jason has experience across a broad spectrum of Environmental Policy, and Environmental Law, including environmental permitting, operational compliance, environmental taxation, waste assessment, customer service and service innovation. Jason has led on a number of large projects and has managed large teams of staff.
Jason brings with him a wealth of experience in the field of environmental permitting, having been intimately involved in the process of transferring Biffa’s entire landfill portfolio into the Landfill Directive and PPC permitting regimes and having successfully led projects to secure permits for other major infrastructure projects such as incinerators, transfer stations and treatment facilities.
Jason joins Heatons as Director of Environmental Permitting, building on the Company’s strong reputation and client base in the minerals and waste planning sectors.
