Biodiversity Net Gain

Biodiversity Net Gain

Heatons ecologists and planners work collaboratively to support development projects achieve biodiversity net gain.

Biodiversity Net Gain is a requirement for development projects to contribute positively to biodiversity. It requires that, in the process of development, biodiversity on site is not just preserved but increased. The goal is to achieve a net gain in biodiversity of at least 10%.

Environmental Impact Assessment

Heatons are experienced in managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), preparing and submitting Environmental Statements (ES) and Non-Technical Summaries (NTS). This helps to ensure that a strong planning argument is assembled;

  • emphasis on the employment of effective mitigation and compensation measures including the potential delivery of planning gains and benefits.

Environmental Permitting

Heatons can offer in house Environmental Permit expertise that combines well with our mineral and waste planning experts. Heatons can recommend the correct Permit that is required, prepare and submit the Permit on your behalf.

Upon submission of the Permit we will liaise with the regulatory authority through to issue. We can produce Bespoke Environmental Permits for more complex facilities through to Standard Rules Permits. Heatons can assist with permits for new facilities and variations to existing permits.
